Our Mission

Adharshila works to build foundations for strong and self-reliant communities at the grassroots level with dedication and sincerity. We strive to empower and enable society’s weaker sections through our programs and make them self reliant. At Adharshila we work to make a difference.

Adharshila (Adhar: foundation, shila: stone) is a young NGO, based in Kalkaji and Harkesh Nagar Okhla in New Delhi, India whose mission is to build foundations at the grassroots level with dedication and sincerity.

Adharshila’s founders, Ms. Neena Jolly and Ms. Geeta Arora started the NGO in October 2004 with the aim of ensuring sustainable slum development.

The NGO works for the upliftment of the underprivileged section of society by striving to empower and enable them, especially women, through our vocational training programs, social justice initiatives, advocating human rights, counseling and awareness workshops.

Adharshila’s strength lies in building partnerships with fellow NGO’s, Corporates, Government Organisations, Civil Society and National and Inter-national Organisations.

It is registered under the Societies Registration Act with special tax exemptions under section 80 G of the Income Tax Act 1961 and under Foreign Currency Registration Act.

Dear friends,

At a young age, Adharshila is shouldering the responsibility of building foundations for people of all age groups from the unreached community who need it the most.

The last twelve years have given us the opportunity to work with more than 125,000 beneficiaries from different migrant communities across India, who we have supported in their pursuits of education, health and livelihood. This year, we are strengthening our training and partnerships with the industry to enhance employability. Healthcare centers were started with the aim of reducing child and maternal mortality, improving fetal health, reducing anemia and improving bone density to reduce the incidence of osteoporosis.

It is the quest for high quality that has got us this far. We strive to shape better communities. Each member of our team is a link in the chain and our aim is to work well together to achieve our goals.

We are grateful to our partners for believing in us and sharing our vision.

Thank you for your continued support!
